The Champaign-Urbana Lindy Exchange (CULX), is a weekend that promises to be simply...riveting! The top-notch live bands, venues, and DJs we've brought together are sure to provide an amazing weekend of dancing, right here in the Midwest.

Straight from the Beale on Broadway in downtown St. Louis, we are happy to feature Kim Massie and the Solid Senders as our Friday night entertainment. Kim's dynamic vocal power has made her a St. Louis blues icon and staple of the swing scene there. Saturday night, we will be featuring local talent, the University of Illinois' Jazz Band II. This 20-member group is comprised of musicians studying at the University of Illinois and will bring the big band feel with a deep repertoire of pieces from jazz greats.

We're featuring a wide array of experienced DJs from Chicago, Purdue and right here in Champaign. Venue highlights include the pristine wood floors of the Illini Union and brand new Rec Center on campus. Late-nite dances will be held in the cozy, artsy Independent Media Center in downtown Urbana and the Illini Media Center that overlooks the heart of campustown.

We'll C-U on the dance floor!

Show-Me Blues 2010

June 4-6

Welcome back to Show-Me Blues!
St. Louis welcomes you to the birthplace of the blues exchange and the second year of Show-Me Blues. We will be serving up a variety of blues. From the Delta to Chicago, New York to San Francisco, St. Louis has historically been a confluence of musical styles and cultural traditions and that.s just what you.ll get. We focus on the merging of the song and the dance, the musician and the dancer, without the competitions or classes. Join us for a great weekend with good friends and down home hospitality.

Our weekend starts early with a trip to St. Louis. blues clubs for a bar crawl and some great local talent. Friday takes you to historic Soulard for some more live bands! Saturday begins with an optional trip to the City Museum, an exchange favorite. The evening brings you the best our DJs have to offer as they battle each other for the title of .Best DJ of SMB .10. and then culminates with dancing to the sun rising over the St. Louis Skyline.

Sunday will blow you away as we take to you to the Jive and Wail. Built for great acoustics, this piano bar takes Kim Massie and the Solid Senders to a whole new level of amazing. It was the talk of last year.s exchange and is defiantly worth staying for. We wrap things up dancing until we drop at Focal Point and maybe grabbing a bite to eat at the local diner before heading home or just maybe you.ll be calling St. Louis your new home.
