::OUR INSTRUCTORS::
Heidi Fite and Charlie Fuller
Heidi and Charlie began dancing and teaching together in St. Louis,
Missouri, in 1999. Together they operated FUSION dance studio, which
later evolved into FUSION swing&blues dance, a not-for-profit
cooperative group of teachers and dancers dedicated to promoting and
supporting social dancing (especially Swing, Lindy Hop, and Blues) in
the St. Louis area and around the nation.
Since 2001, they have focused on Blues dance, spear-heading a recent resurgence of local and national interest through teaching Blues workshops and organizing Blues dance events like Cheap Thrills All Blues Weekend 2003-2005 and STLBX 2002-2005.
They continue to develop their unique style of modern Blues dance by incorporating ideas from original forms of Blues dance, while giving special attention to modern methods of partner connection and musical interpretation. Admired for their clear explanation of fundamentals, Heidi and Charlie bring to all their classes and workshops not only a focus on solid techniques, but more important, a love of dance and a dedication to the learning process. ::OUR BANDS::
T-Bone Craig
"[The band] was formed about three years ago, and plays traditional
blues, jump blues and jazz. We play tunes by Freddie Greene, Charles
Brown, B.B. King, Dr. John, Howling Wolf, The Fabulous Thunderbirds,
John Nemeth and many others. Our selections are very "danceable" and the
band grooves best when dancers get up!"
Bruiser and the Virtues
"The jazzier side of Bruce "Bruiser" Rummenie... wonderfully concocted
songs in the way of classic dance band tunes; a hot saxophone, piano,
upright bass, drums, and Bruiser on a big fat electric archtop guitar.
This band is precious and awesome."

Welcome back to Show-Me Blues!
St. Louis welcomes you to the birthplace of the blues exchange and the
second year of Show-Me Blues. We will be serving up a variety of blues.
From the Delta to Chicago, New York to San Francisco, St. Louis has
historically been a confluence of musical styles and cultural traditions
and that.s just what you.ll get. We focus on the merging of the song and
the dance, the musician and the dancer, without the competitions or
classes. Join us for a great weekend with good friends and down home
hospitality.
Our weekend starts early with a trip to St. Louis. blues clubs for a bar crawl and some great local talent. Friday takes you to historic Soulard for some more live bands! Saturday begins with an optional trip to the City Museum, an exchange favorite. The evening brings you the best our DJs have to offer as they battle each other for the title of .Best DJ of SMB .10. and then culminates with dancing to the sun rising over the St. Louis Skyline.
Sunday will blow you away as we take to you to the Jive and Wail. Built for great acoustics, this piano bar takes Kim Massie and the Solid Senders to a whole new level of amazing. It was the talk of last year.s exchange and is defiantly worth staying for. We wrap things up dancing until we drop at Focal Point and maybe grabbing a bite to eat at the local diner before heading home or just maybe you.ll be calling St. Louis your new home.
